The unpredictability of the weather is an inevitable point of discussion for couples who plan an outdoor wedding in Scotland. Whilst chatting through the details of their wedding day over a Zoom call, I checked in with Anne & Isaac about how comfortable they would be to potentially have their photographs taken in the rain. Anne’s response was music to my ears! Not just because I’m always down for photos in any weather, but also because I knew this couple would be truly focussed on one another during their wedding, rather than worrying about any elements outside of their control. Anne & Isaac’s relaxed nature allowed for some truly joyous photos which still bring such a smile to my face!

A hidden gem nestled in the outskirts of the town of Dunkeld, Dungarthill House is one of those perfect wedding venues that feels like a total escape. With a multitude of rooms to explore and large surrounding gardens only interrupted by the sound of woodpeckers, it definitely feels like a little slice of heavenly peace. Beccy & Matt were quick to hire the venue for their wedding weekend after becoming engaged only a few months before on a holiday to Pitlochry. With a short lead up to their wedding, they wanted a space with enough rooms to accommodate all their guests, provide an outdoor spot for their ceremony and allow them to enjoy the rest of their wedding weekend at the local pub in Dunkeld with their family. Dungarthill House was the perfect place for a completely chilled, fuss free day where they could make the most of time spent with family.
